Payment card details are generally processed by our payment service provider rather than stored by Clients Finder as full payment-card credentials. We may receive payment status, transaction identifiers, billing country and related records needed to operate billing, refunds, fraud prevention and accounting.

3. Hong Kong privacy framework

WELCAD LIMITED is committed to handling personal data consistently with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO), Cap. 486 and its data protection principles. The Hong Kong Privacy Commissioner describes the six principles as covering lawful/fair collection, accuracy and retention, appropriate use, security, openness and access/correction.

This means, among other things, that we seek to collect data for lawful and relevant purposes, avoid collecting data that is unnecessary or excessive, take reasonable security measures, maintain appropriate privacy information, and provide access/correction mechanisms as required by applicable law.

4. When we share information

We may share personal data with service providers that process information for us, such as payment, hosting, infrastructure, customer-support, analytics, security and communications providers, where this is necessary for the purposes described in this policy. We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of WELCAD LIMITED, our customers or others.

We do not sell customer personal data as a commercial data-broker product.

5. Payment processing

Payments for Clients Finder may be processed by Airwallex on behalf of WELCAD LIMITED. Your payment may therefore generate payment records associated with WELCAD LIMITED and a payment-service descriptor. The commercial seller of the Clients Finder subscription remains WELCAD LIMITED unless a checkout page expressly states otherwise.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Clients Finder may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for site functionality, security, preferences and measurement. Where a technology requires consent under applicable law, we will seek that consent through the relevant interface.

7. Retention

We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including account administration, customer support, security, financial records and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and circumstance.

8. International processing

Service providers used by WELCAD LIMITED may process information in jurisdictions outside Hong Kong. Where personal data is transferred or processed internationally, we take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances and applicable law.

Under the PDPO framework, individuals may have rights to request access to personal data held about them and request correction of inaccurate data, subject to applicable legal conditions.

Clients Finder is a business software service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal data from children for independent use of the service.

We may update this policy when our service, legal obligations or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
